People will actually want to use guns besides for darts.

This should encourage more actual PvP and at least give people a chance to fight back in real-time which will make the game more enjoyable. There is already a decay timer for structures, so if a tribe logs out for 2 weeks their stuff can be destroyed to prevent people from trying to abuse this. If an offline person's tame attacks you, then that tame can be killed also.ģ. Things that will always be open to attack even while offline are things that can cause damage to another player such as traps/turrets/etc. The last person to log out of the tribe, begins the countdown for 2 hours when they are vulnerable to raids if someone wishes to still offline raid.Ģ. If you log out during an attack, you can still offline raid them for 2 hours. If the last defending person logs out in an effort to stop the attack, the defenders base/dinos can still be killed for 2 hours while they are offline. A person may not pick up or attack their dinos either.ġ. To encourage more actual PvP, I am proposing the following change:Ī person/tribe may only destroy/kill structures/tames of another person/tribe while at least one person from the tribe is online. Same concept applies in life, it is a lot harder to build something than it is to destroy it. I am not arguing or proposing to nerf bombs. Often bases take a few days - weeks to build which almost all can be destroyed in an 8 hour period with bombs.

One could also argue the amount of resources for the bombs is justification, but we all know it takes a lot more resources/time/effort to tame dinos/build a base then it takes to destroy one. Turrets/defenses don't have enough range to stop people from just dropping bombs from above out of range until they knock out the defenses. but when you give someone 8 hours to attack you while you can't fight back they will always win.

One could argue, well maybe they should have setup defenses such as airlocks, turrets/etc. 90% of 'PvP' is offline base raiding which often leaves a sour taste b/c people aren't online to protect/defend themselves when they are offline for like 8 hours at time sleeping in real life. Issue: Currently the game is called PvP (player vs player), but in reality is more like PvSP (player vs sleeping player). Proposed solution for Offline Base Raiding
